About the Author


Paul Guyer is a registered Mechanical Engineer, Civil Engineer, Fire Protection Engineer and Architect with 35 years experience in the design of buildings and related infrastructure. For an additional 9 years he was a principal staff advisor to the California Legislature on infrastructure and capital outlay issues. He is a graduate of Stanford University and has held a number of national, state and local offices with the American Society Civil Engineers, National Society of Professional Engineers and Architectural Engineering Institute. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Architectural Engineering Institute, and the Chartered Association of Building Engineers (U.K.).
