Description
On an oversized lot in the Belmont Heights neighborhood of Long Beach, California, sits a courtyard tucked between two rows of Spanish Revival Style apartments. Brown's Court Apartments (BCA) is one of Long Beach's few remaining bungalow courts and the only existing Spanish Bungalow Court in Belmont Heights. The architectural theme, characterized by small, well-designed houses with outdoor communal space, was at its height when BCA was built in 1923. The property has been in use for at least 100 years, making it one of the oldest in the area.
