About the Author


Fred Bailey is a Canadian writer and photographer born in Southern Ontario in 1952. A wanderer and adventurer he eventually settled in British Columbia. He now lives in the Gulf Islands, an archipelago near Vancouver Island, and pursues his passion for the sea and for writing. He has produced two novels, an anthology of nautical short stories and poetry, a children's book, a blog (Seafire Chronicles.com) and writes for various periodicals. He continues to write and make photographs.
