Tora Study Bible presents a modern American English rendition of The Five Books of Moses. The rendition uses as simple a language that conveys the meaning of the verses. Care has been taken to make Tora Study Bible appropriate for young readers as well. Verses reflect their meaning as explained by traditional commentators including Ramban, Rambam, Ibn Ezra, Rashbam, Siforno, and Rashe. Throughout the book, informative headings summarize the content of the upcoming verses. Each of the 613 commandments as defined by Rambam are indicated by a heading before the verse from which the commandment is derived. Study notes reference relevant commandments by identification number and by their verse citation. Study notes provide material to enhance the understanding of the verses. First, they state the sources upon which the rendition is based. Second, the notes relate the verses to relevant historical, geographical, scientific, and archeological facts that elucidate the meaning and context of the Biblical content.
