This book also includes history, culture, and religion of the Amana Colonies, a communal society until 1932.
About the Author
Sue Roemig Goree grew up in the Amanas and writes of the delicacies from the garden of her "oma" (grandmother). She loves the feeling of community she gets in Amana from her church and extended family. "While walking through the commerce-oriented streets of the Amanas [today], it is nice to know it remains a bustling community of families carrying on a faith."
