" Ed Ford is an author of historical fiction and has written six books, two plays, and a number of articles about the U.S. Civil war and other historical activities in his home state of Kentucky. The Incident at Otter Creek, although historical fiction, is based on and contains accurate factual information. Prior to his career as a novelist, Ford was an award-winning corporate editor and public relations specialist with Ford Motor and The Goodyear Tire & Rubber companies, and was a newspaper and magazine reporter. The University of Kentucky's journalism graduate operates his own public relations firm in Richmond, Kentucky, and has served as public relations director for Berea College."
