Description

This thesis analyzes the enhancement of network security in Wireless Sensor Networks using Game Theory. Wireless Sensor Networks are wireless networks consisting of a large number of regularly or randomly distributed sensor nodes. The objective of this work is to provide network security to wireless Sensor Networks in order to transmit sensing data to the receiver effectively so that the lifetime of the network is extended and in this work, a novel protocol is designed using Game Theory. Game Theory provides a mathematical basis for the analysis of interactive decision-making processes. It provides tools for predicting what might (and possibly what should) happen when agents with conflicting interests interact. It is not a monolithic technique, but a collection of modeling tools that aid in the understanding of interactive decisions for problems. Non-Cooperative Game Theory, Cooperative Game Theory, Bargaining Game Theory, Zero-Sum Game Theory, Non-Zero sum Game Theory, and repeated game theory methods are employed here to enhance network security in Wireless Sensor Networks.
