Shalini Wasan, PhD in Library and Information Science, is working as a Senior Librarian, Chandigarh College of Engg. & Tech (CCET Degree Wing), Chandigarh w.e.f October 2011. She is a graduate from Government Girls College, Chandigarh. She completed M.A. (Economics), M.Lib. and Inf. Sc., PGDLAN. She qualified UGC-NET and completed her PhD. from Panjab University, Chandigarh. Her areas of interest include Webometrics, Higher Education Ranking, ICT in Libraries, Library Automation, Institutional Repositories (IRs), Web 2.0 and Web 3.0; Web Scale Discovery Services, Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), Open Source Softwares, Anti Plagiarism Softwares, Consortium, Networking, Knowledge Management, Information Literacy and National Knowledge Network. Dr. Shalini is nominated as Editorial Board Member of International Journals and is a reviewer of The Electronic Library (Emerald). Dr. Shalini has about 35 research papers to her credit which are published in research journals, conference proceedings and as book chapters with several of them being honoured with Best Paper Awards. She has attended various conferences, seminars, workshops etc. at the regional, national and international levels. Recently she has initiated the library website of her college.
