I have spent much of my life trying to help people to improve their lot in life. Everyone wants and needs to be able to read, write, and speak well. Understanding phonics (the sounds of words) makes reading, writing, and speaking easier. Besides enriching and making life easier, reading, writing, and speaking provide the opportunity to communicate ideas and knowledge. Knowledge is power. To improve society, we need knowledgeable people who work at being good role models. Let's put fun and joy back into learning. When we're nervous, we make mistakes and lack the ability to focus.
