Description

The Low Vision Reader is intended to provide a low-cost solution for low vision people who have macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, or other vision impairments that impede their ability to read the ordinary things you need in order to get through daily life.

Other "reading machines" are large, stationery, bulky and very expensive - using their own proprietary magnification electronic cameras and video screens.

Our device combines the use of ones' own iPad along with an x-y axis table.

It allows you to read letters, bank statements, credit card statements and a variety of other reading material, at variable levels of magnification. It is small, just 15" square, llight weight, and portable. The X -Y axis tables lock in place for storage and portability. An LED light provides proper illumination.

It doesn't require an iPad with a lot of memory, a several years old tablet will do . Even if the battery is somewhat rundown, it can be used for this purpose when the charger is plugged in.
An awesome free magnification app called SuperVision+ by The Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary is downloaded from the App store to the iPad for use with this device..

CONSTRUCTION IS SIMPLE AND STRAIGHTFORWARD. NO SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED.
