Description

Practical Weaving Techniques is a practical and inspirational book, perfect for beginners who want to acquire the techniques of this traditional and ancient craft.

Step-by-step instructions demonstrate how to weave on a frame loom, change colours, master curves and try out interlocking (to create intricate patterns such as tartans). There is then advice on how to take it further: weave pictures, design compositions, incorporate found objects, and construct simple looms.

Another in our popular 'Practical' series, this book is written by an experienced weaving teacher and contains everything you need to know to weave beautiful objects, from wall tapestries to 'weavelets', and rugs, to purses and bags.
