About the Author


Lynn Gray Ross lives in Scotland on the Isle of Arran, where she established the Silverbirch Spinning and Weaving Workshop in 1981 to teach traditional textile crafts. In addition to teaching adults in the UK, US and Europe, she has developed award-winning projects with local schools. Her work is exhibited and collected internationally and she has been involved in such high profile commissions such as a community tapestry for the 1995 United Nations Conference on Women in Beijing.
